Seasonality
June 10, 2021
“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.”
― Albert Camus
What has this crisis taught us about respecting seasonality?
In France, our confinement created almost a sense of hibernation. We went inwards, spent time with our families and reflected on our situation.
The reopening of Paris in spring felt like a rebirth and there was a palpable energy of excitement as Parisians rediscovered their beloved terraces.
A few questions naturally follow.
How could we organize ourselves differently ― in terms of work, school and community ― to prioritize alignment with the seasons, our health and care for the vulnerable?
How can entrepreneurs, artisans and artists incorporate seasonality into their work?
While it necessarily varies among the nature of the project or business, it is nonetheless useful to think about how to adapt our organization to be more in step with nature.
How does your work change from season to season?
How does this affect your energy, internal life, family life and community?
What changes can you make to bring your work more in line with the seasons?
